Computer-aided parameter calculation method e.g. for position determination and navigation system of mobile robot

The computer-aided parameter calculation method uses a stochastic error exhibited by the unknown parameter value and a quantity-based error for calculation of an expanded error value, used for determining the parameter value. The calculation method may be used for calculation of a multi-dimensional value, with the stochastic error and/or the quantity-based error being weighted, with recursive calculation of the parameter value.
