PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize distortion caused in a frequency multiplexed multi-channel signal after FM demodulation by adjusting a duty ratio an FM simultaneous modulation signal even when the duty ratio is deviated from a reference value. SOLUTION: Relating to an optical transmitter 10 that applies simultaneous FM modulation to a frequency multiplexed multi-channel signal and transmits the signal optically, a duty radio variable device 12 is placed to a post-stage of an FM modulator 11 and the FM simultaneous modulation signal whose duty ratio is adjusted is optically transmitted by compensating and adjusting a change in the duty ratio of the FM simultaneous modulation signal caused by a group delay deviation of an FM signal transmission path by the optical transmitter 10 and the optical receiver 20 and wavelength scattering on an optical fiber transmission line 30.
