METHOD FOR EDITING CONTENTS DATA, COMPUTER PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING CONTENTS DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to edit contents that the user purchased through an Internet distribution system without increasing the load on a server side nor being charged for communication between the server and computer and to simplify the communication procedure for transferring the contents data from the server to a player through the personal computer. SOLUTION: The contents data which were transferred and stored on the user-side player 6a are transferred to an Internet client 10, edited by the Internet client 10, and transferred to the user-side player 6a. The contents data are transferred from the Internet server 9 to the player 6a through the Internet client 10 by using a specific protocol.
