PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a liquid crystal display element in the pixel density and numerical aperture, and decrease it in the physical dimensions. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display element is such that one p-well 212b is formed for every four pixels adjacent to each other, and n-type transistors 202 of the above-mentioned four pixels are formed in this well 212b. Moreover, a p-type transistor 201 is formed at a position on the diagonal of the n-type transistor 202. Thus, by forming the plural transistors of the same polarity in the p-well 212b, the inter-transistor distances can be set shorter without causing malfunctions of the transistors, therefore, it is possible to substratially reduce an area occupied by the transistors.
|
