摘要 |
The invention relates to a method for removing impurities from molten masses of metals or alloys, especially aluminum and magnesium, whereby a salt mixture is added to the molten masses of the metal or alloy, which is obtained by melting a water-free halogen containing aluminum compound with salts or salt mixtures not containing aluminum, whereby the salt mixture melts below 190 DEG C at normal pressure. Advantageously, the salt mixture is added to the metal molten mass in the form of a compressed formed body or granulate made of solidified salt melt.
