METHOD OF CORRECTING ROTATIONAL UNBALANCE OF ROTATING MECHANISM AND CORRECTING DEVICE OF THE SAME

A method of correcting rotational unbalance of a rotating mechanism in, e.g. a hard-disc-driving apparatus, and a rotational unbalance correcting device. A disc-shaped plate has plural protrusions arranged equiangularly on the outer wall of the plate, and the protrusions radiate from the outer wall. The plate is mounted fixedly and coaxially to a rotating mechanism, i.e. a hub including hard discs having been fixed thereto. At least one of the protrusions is bent inward of the plate responsive to rotational unbalance of the rotating mechanism thereby achieving balance. This simple structure can correct unbalance of the rotating mechanism by simple work and free from contamination.
