PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a surface mount crystal vibrator especially excellent in a change over aging in the crystal vibrator with high accuracy required for a frequency reference source of a mobile communication unit or the like. SOLUTION: After coating a silicon group adhesive 103 to a base 101 of a package for a crystal vibrator, a crystal chip 105 is supported and fixed, and before air-tight sealing, heat treatment is conducted under vacuum. By using this manufacturing method, the crystal vibrator with a very excellent change over aging in frequency can be manufactured and the crystal vibrator with an excellent aging change characteristic of±0.5 ppm or below.
