PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice quality conversion device that is adapted to an existing telephone set as an adaptor and has a voice quality conversion function with high performance. SOLUTION: The voice quality conversion device 100 has a voice quality conversion processing section 10 that applies voice change to an input voice nearly in real time, and is provided with a microphone section 20 for sound pickup, an A/D converter section 30 that applies A/D conversion to the sound picked up by the microphone section 20 and to deliver the result to the voice quality conversion processing section, a D/A converter section 40 that applies D/A conversion to the converted voice obtained as a result of voice quality conversion by the processing section 10, a 3-pole or 4-pole earphone microphone connection plug section 50 that is connected to the D/A converter section 40 and connectable to an earphone microphone connection port of a portable telephone or a PHS telephone set, and a speaker section 60 that outputs a voice signal received from the 3-pole or 4-pole earphone microphone connection plug section 50 externally as a voice.
