<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a page description language(PDL) based on the character of a text in a document by permitting a data sample to include the character set of the text in the data sample of PDL for describing a printing job. SOLUTION: A spooler 410 receives a printing request from each client 200, converts it into the printing job, schedules the printing job and transmits it to a supervisor. The supervisor provides a common interface between the spooler 410 and an output device, receives the printing job, calls a designated printer and renders data. A PDL guesser 700 decides PDL of the printing job which is transmitted to the spooler 410 from one of the clients 200. A text printing job consists of the characters of a character set standard being a printing possible unit, which forms the text. The character set is the one related to the characters to be used in communication with the specified language.</p> |
