PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety for a user by simple constitution, and facilitate a popping-up and storing operation for a pop-up type roof. SOLUTION: An aluminum stopper 10 has a stopper main body 11, one end part 12 and the other end part 15. The stopper main body 11 is formed into a cylindrical shape to cover an exposed part of a piston rod 42. Since an inside diameter of the stopper 11 is larger than an outside diameter of a cylinder part 41, the stopper main body 11 is allowed to store one part of the cylinder 41 when a pop-up roof is stored. The one end part 12 has a projected part 13 projected axis-directionally, and a stepped part 14 recessed axis-directionally more than the projected part 13. The stepped part 14 abuts to an open end part 41a of the cylinder part 41 when the pop-up roof is popped up. The other end part 15 has a cut-out part 16, and an inner wall of the cut-out part 16 is brought into contact with a bolt 43.
