PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sanitary article disposal capable of efficiently housing a used sanitary article in a drawer case sanitarily in cosideration of a psychological aspect of a woman without leaving the original shape. SOLUTION: An apparatus for sanitary article disposal is equipped with a casing 1 having a charging port 17 provided to the upper part thereof, the closure member 2 opening the closing the charging port, the delivery means 3 provided under the charging port and receiving the sanitary treatment article S charged from the charging port so as to be capable of delivering the same downward, the drying means 41 provided under the delivery means to forcibly dry the sanitary treatment article delivered from the delivery means, the shredding means 42 provided under the drying means to shred the dried sanitary treatment article and the housing means 5 provided under the shredding means to house shredded pieces of the sanitary treatment article shredded by the shredding means. In this apparatus, the sanitary treatment article delivered to the drying means from the charging port of the casing through the delivery means is shredded in a state reduced in vol. forcibly by the drying means to be housed in the housing means.
