PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pre-expanded particle of a thermoplastic polyester-based resin capable of producing an expanded molding product having excellent flame retardance, friendliness to the environment, lightweight, heat resistance, heat insulating properties and cushioning properties and improved fusion between particles and mechanical strength by a general molding condition readily and efficiently. SOLUTION: This pre-expanded particle of a thermoplastic polyester-based resin is obtained by formulating 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester-based resin containing 0.5-10 wt.% of the total of at least one of isophthalic acid and cyclohexanedimethanol with 0.5-10 pts.wt. of an aromatic phosphorus compound of the general formula [Ar1, Ar2, Ar3 and Ar4 are each same or different phenyl group which may contain 1-5 alkyl groups as substituents and pre- expanding the formulated material. |
