PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous inkjet recording liquid excellent in light- resistance, water resistance, shades, and printing density after printing and the color gamut reproducible range when printed on a plain paper, and good in discharge stability at a nozzle in the aqueous pigment dispersion excellent in water dispersibility and dispersion stability with time, and to provide a method for preparing the same and furthermore, the aqueous inkjet recording liquid using the pigment dispersion. SOLUTION: An aqueous pigment dispersion can be obtained by dispersing phthalocyanine based pigment particles having adsorbed a water soluble phthalocyanine derivative into an aqueous liquid, and the amount of the water soluble phthalocyanine derivative unadsorbed in the aqueous pigment dispersion based on the phthalocyanine based pigment is not greater than 1×10-2 mmol/g, and the zeta-potential of the phthalocyanine based pigment particles having adsorbed the water soluble phthalocyanine derivative is negatively electrifying in the range of -10 to -60. |
