<p>An apparatus and method to measure the characteristics of the substantially periodic motion of an object having a micromanipulator dieprobe station (110) that receives and makes electrical contact with a device under test (100). Station (110) further comprises a long focal length microscope (120) which resolves an image of the device under test (100) and provides it video camera (160). LabView® software resides on personal computer (150) and cooperates with both a General Purpose Interface Bus for configuring and controlling test instrumentation (140) to provide supply voltages and excitation signals to device under test (100) and with an analog I/O card (130) for receiving signals from the device under test (100). Personal computer (150) also uses LabView® to both instruct video camera (160) to send video images of device under test (100) to a frame grabber card (170) and for frame grabber card (170) to capture the images. Personal computer (150) reads, stores, and processes the captured images and outputs a measurement of the oscillation of device under test (100).</p> |
