<p>The inventive method consists in inserting zeros in the list of non-zero numbers representing the number of objects that are to be sorted and which are divided up according to their distribution point within the limits of the separating power of the sorting machine and pass-number in order to limit and/or avoid the risk of an overspill in the compartments (12) of said machine and, in the case of distribution points wherein the number of objects exceeds the reception capacity of at least one of the separations of the sorting machine, one or several lines and/or columns of zeros are provided in the sorting scheme according to the line and column of contentious object(s) in order to automatically set up a spare compartment located just behind the receiving compartment for said contentious object(s). The inventive method also consists in creating a massification i.e. in filling each compartment to a value that is close to its maximum capacity in order to reduce the number of compartments used along with the number of removal operations from the compartments. According to the inventive method and according to the function of the capacity of the sorting machine, the sorting scheme can enable the compartments to be divided up in such a way that two geographically distinct units A and B are formed in order to carry out simultaneously a sorting operation in one of said units and a removal operation for objects that have already been sorted and which are disposed in the other unit.</p> |
