Translation rod magnetically held against a frame having magnet, guides a printhead (500) having a light source, along a travel path, relative to an imaging drum. A movable translation stage (220) on which printhead is mounted, has another magnet so as to create a repulsive force against magnetic force of magnet of the frame. The imaging drum holds a receiver that accepts an image. An independent claim is also included for method of movably supporting printhead of imaging apparatus. |
