PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization system capable of sterilization at normal temperatures and pressures and causing no ozonosphere disruption, designed to set up many needle electrodes for the purpose of high voltage application and a flat plate-like electrode covered with a plurality of insulating plates in a specified positional context. SOLUTION: This sterilization system 1 is designed to set up a discharge side electrode 3 composed of many needle electrodes at specified intervals for the purpose of application of high voltage generated at a source unit 21 and a grounded side electrode 4 consisting of a flat plate-like electrode whose whole surface is covered with a plurality of insulating plates 6 with their terminals connected mutually, interpose an object to be sterilized in between these electrodes 3 and 4, and generate a pulse streamer electric discharge, wherein the distance between a point where each of the respective straight lines drawn from the needle electrodes rectangularly to the flat plate-like electrode 4 comes to and the any of the joints of the terminals of the insulating plates 6 is >=10 mm irrespective of any combination of the above points with the above joints. |
