LASER STIMULATED X-RAY SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the time of generating a plasma and increase X-ray intensity by same function as a target provided with a groove. SOLUTION: This laser stimulated X-ray source for generating an X-ray by a plasma by laser beam irradiation includes a thin plate 2 having a pierced part (a pierced hole 21) for linking a side of a laser beam source and a side for arranging a target. The pierced part (the pierced hole 21) of the thin plate 2 is arranged in a focus position of the laser beam and a plasma is generation in a space formed by an inner surface of the pierced part and the surface of the target 4 so that dispersion of the plasma from the target 4 is suppressed. This suppression of plasma dispersion prolongs the time of generating the plasma and increase the intensity of the generated X-ray.
