摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clamping mechanism and a pull-stud capable of being compatible with center-through coolant as well as cleaning of contact surfaces by providing a compact ball chuck type clamping mechanism having great clamping force. SOLUTION: A first fixed sleeve 9 and a second mobile sleeve 8 are arranged- installed in a central through-hole of a spindle 4. A ball 7b at the end face of the second sleeve 8 is engaged with the recessed part-slope of the first sleeve and the recessed part-slope of a draw bar 10 to amplify energizing force of a spring 11 for energizing the draw bar upward. The head part of a pull-stud 13 is held and pulled in by a ball 7a at the tip of the second sleeve 8 by means of amplified force. In the pull-stud 13, an axial through-hole and a hole connected to the through-hole and sideways opened, are provided. Compressed air passes through these holes to clean up the tapered face and end face of the spindle 4 and a toolshank. A switching means for closing the sideways opened hole is provided, and cutting fluid passed through only the axial through- hole.</p>
