<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overhead cable installation method by which a messenger wire for supporting an overhead cable such as a communication cable, etc., and the overhad cable are installed between supporting pillars such as poles, etc., efficiently and economically. SOLUTION: First, a guide rope 2 which is inserted through a spiral cable holding member 3 held by the guide rope 2 is temporarily retained between supporting pillars 1 and then a messenger wire 7 is installed through the spiral cable holding member 3 wound around the temporarily retained guide rope 2. Then the guide rope 2 is released from retainment by the supporting pillars 1 and an overhead cable 8 is attached to the one end of the guide rope 2 movable in the spiral cable holding member 3 and the guide rope 2 is pulled to install the overhead cable 8 so as to be supported by the messenger wire 7 and the spiral cable holding member 3.</p> |
