<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate a searching/tracking time by calculating a detecting error in response to a target position from a difference between transmitted and received beam directions, and region deciding and switching a monostatic operation and a bistatic operation in response to a preset reference error. SOLUTION: The beam controller 1 comprises a beam direction difference calculator 6 a detecting position error calculator 7, a monostatic/bistatic deciding circuit 8, a monostatic/bistatic switching circuit 9, etc. The calculator 6 detects a difference between transmitting and beam directions. The calculator 7 calculates a detecting error in response to a target position from the obtained difference. The circuit 8 compares a calculated detecting error with a preset stored reference error in amplitude, and decides the region of either the monostatic operation or the bistatic operation. The circuit 9 switches the monostatic operation and the bistatic operation according to the decided region.</p> |
