PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of obtaining image signals of proper gradation, even from images of unproper exposure and an image forming device capable of forming images of proper gradation even from the image of unproper exposure. SOLUTION: An image processor 10 is provided with a histogram preparing means 12, for preparing a lightness histogram expressing the distribution of the lightness of an image by finding lightness for each pixel of the image expressed by an inputted image signal 11 on the basis of that image signal 11 and a gradation correcting means 13 for correcting the gradation, so as to obtain the lightness histogram which is closer to normal distribution in comparison with the prepared original lightness histogram. Thus, the image processor capable of obtaining the image signal of proper gradation can be provided by equipping a processor with a process which applies proper gradation correcting processing, even with respect to an image signal outputted with the unproper exposure because of trouble in the automatic exposure device of an image input device. |
