PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize management processing such as the state monitoring of a local printer where another data processor is connected to a data processor with a protocol that is the same as a protocol used for communication with a network printer. SOLUTION: An SNMP(simple network management protocol) program 3b arranges a printer 2c connected locally to a data processor 2b under the management of the SNMP used for communication with another data processor 2d, and a printer state management program 3c notifies state information which is acquired from the printer 2c and managed in a storage area 3d through a network interface 3a while adapting to a request by communication with the processing 2d.
