PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure while maintaining the function of a device. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with a liquid crystal display means 2 which can be housed in a device main body and makes a display on a liquid crystal panel, a fixing means 3 which fixes the liquid crystal display means to the device main body when the liquid crystal display means 2 is housed in the device body, and a detecting means which detects the housing state of the liquid crystal display means, the detecting means has a contact part which comes into contact with another part 4 when the fixation by the fixing means 3 is performed so as to detect the housing state, and the contact part is provided integrally with the fixing means 3.
