PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reducing metal of high quality having small content of a gangue or an ash content and little pores by heating to reduce a raw material deposited on a hearth of a movable furnace and simultaneously melting at least once the material in the case of charging the raw material containing metal and a solid reducing agent in the hearth of the furnace, heating it, and manufacturing the reducing metal. SOLUTION: In the case of manufacturing the reducing metal, first a solid reducing agent layer 1 is formed on a hearth 11, and a plurality of recesses 1a are formed on the layer 1. Then, a raw material 2 is charged in the layer 1, heated, metal in the material 2 is reduced by a solid reducing agent, a reduced product 3 containing a gangue is generated, and a slag containing an ash content of the agent as a main body is generated. Then, the raw material is melted, separated into a metal 4 and a slag 5, they are dispersed and fed in the respective recesses 1a. Thereafter, they are cooled, and solidified metal and slag 5 are separated from the hearth 11 by the solid agent, and easily discharged out of the furnace as individual small lumps.
