PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing 3- formyltetrahydrofuran by which the 3-formyltetrahydrofuran can highly selectively be produced at a high rate of reaction. SOLUTION: The concentration of (a) a rhodium compound is kept at 0.01-1 mmol based on 1 L of a reactional mixture liquid and the reactional temperature is kept at a temp. of >=85 deg.C when reacting 2,5-dihydrofuran with hydrogen and carbon monoxide in the presence of the rhodium compound (a) and (b) a monodentate tertiary organophosphorus compound represented by the formula PR1R2R3 (R1, R2 and R3 denote each an alkyl group which may have a substituent group, an aryl group which may have a substituent group, an aralkyl group which may have a substituent group or an aryloxy group which may have a substituent group). |
