PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from being irritated by such a situation as the loading operation of recording sheet is not executed even upon provision of a print command. SOLUTION: Upon receiving a print command, a recovery operating selecting means 55 selects the operation mode for recovering the function of a recording head based on the clock data of each timer 57, 58, 59. A control switching means 61 delivers a command to a sheet feed motor drive means during execution of a selected function recovery operation and also executes loading of a recording sheet. Loading operation of a recording sheet progresses sequentially by executing the function recovery operation of recording head and the loading operation of recording sheet alternately and the function recovery operation of recording head is finished during that operation. |
