PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical body forming device capable of excellently discharging outside a gas generating inside a cavity in calcination and moreover capable of wiping away the fear of being defective formation. SOLUTION: Gas is generated when sand S is filled into a cavity 52 formed in dies 24a, 24b from sand exhaust nozzles 64 via sand blowing-in nozzles 61 and sand introducing passages 42 and the sand S is heated and calcined. The gas is excellently discharged outside the dies 24a, 24b via groove parts 38, passages and groove parts 36 which are formed in the upper part of a mandrel 30. Thus, the gas is prevented from remaining inside the cavity 52, and the fear that defective formation is generated is wiped away.
