PURPOSE: An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to enhance air-conditioning efficiency by diffusing air into an indoor space regularly from an indoor unit without regard to indoor structure. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner consists of: an L-shaped body; first to third cross flow fans(101,102,103) rotated to suck or discharge air into an indoor unit; plural suction ports(104,105,106) sucking air into the body by rotation of the cross flow fans; heat exchangers(107,108,109) for exchanging heat of the sucked air; plural discharge ports(110,111,112) for discharging the heat-exchanged air out of the indoor unit; vanes(113,114,115) for adjusting the direction of the air flowing through the discharge ports. A temperature sensor(117) measures temperature of indoor hot air sucked into the indoor unit body. Each cross flow fan and the vane are controlled depending on the measured temperature. Therefore, air-conditioning efficiency is kept regular depending on indoor structure.
