PURPOSE: A magnetic head slider capable of discharging a foreign material is provided to prevent a main pole from contaminating caused by the foreign material through arranging a foreign material discharging path on a sliding surface. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic head slider(20) comprises a sliding surface(20a) having an air flow path(30) for discharging a foreign material, and a main pole(22) and two sub poles(24). The magnetic head slider is worn in an oval shaped on the sliding surface. Herein, the air flow path is arranged for discharging worn particles by using air inputted to the head slider. Herein, an opening of the air flow path is enlarged at a leading edge of the air flow path. Therefore, the contamination of the main pole and the sub poles at a trailing edge is prevented.
