CORROSION PREVENTING METHOD OF STEEL STRUCTURAL MATERIAL USING TITANIUM MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize reduction of material costs and lightening of the weight. SOLUTION: A thin plate-like titanium material 3 is jointed on an outer periphery of a steel plate bridge pier 1 by plural portions of spot welding 4. At an overlapped joint part 5 in a vertical direction where the titanium materials 3 are overlapped, one end 3a and the other end 3b of the titanium materials 3 overlapped each other are jointed by arc welding 6. The space between both top and bottom ends of the titanium material 3 and the outer periphery of the bridge pier 1 is sealed across the entire periphery with a resin seal material.
