PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the opening and closing of a binding rod possible at the lengthwise one end side position of a base and, at the same time, stably ensures the engaging state of the binding rod. SOLUTION: This binding tool is equipped with a base 17, a binding rod 22, which is rotatably supported to the base 17, and a slider 18, which releases the bound state of the binding rod 22. The binding rod 22 includes a second binding rod 34, at the tip side of which a groove 34A is equipped. Upright members 30 and 31, which are connectingly provided on the top surface of the slider 18, rise through square holes 26, which are formed on the base 17, on the base 17. In the respective upright members 30 and 31, grooves 30A and 31A are formed. The groove 34A regions provided in a second binding rod 34 becomes engaging and disengaging with a region including these grooves 30A and 31A.
