PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish improvement in both relative permittivity and Qf and to enable the burning temperature to be lowered by including respective specific amounts of Zn, B, Li, Ca, Si and Ag (or Cu) as metal elements in a principal ingredient comprising at least Ba, Ti and Zr in a specific content ratio. SOLUTION: This dielectric ceramic composition is produced by adding Zn, B, Li, Ca, Si and Ag (or Cu) to a principal ingredient, expressed by the formula BaO-x(Ti(1-a)Zra)O2 [wherein, 3.5<=x<=4.5; and 0<=a<=0.20] in respectively 4-30 pts.wt. in terms of ZnO, 1-20 pts.wt. in terms of B2O3, 1-10 pts.wt. in terms of Li2CO3, 0.01-5 pts.wt. in terms of CaO, 0.01-5 pts.wt. in terms of SiO2 and 0.01-7 pts.wt. in terms of its oxide each based on 100 pts.wt. principal ingredient. The dielectric ceramic composition is so improved that the relative permittivity is <=20, Qf is >=30,000 and the burning temperature is lowered down to <=930 deg.C. The dielectric ceramic composition is the most suitable as materials for a resonator, an MIC dielectric substrate, a dielectric waveguide or the like. |
