SUBSTANCE: in process of cold running-in additional steps with increased intake pressure owing to recirculation and additional delivery of compressed air are introduced, and in process of hot running-in with dynamic loading at acceleration exhaust gases are delivered into receiver to gauge pressure of 0.01-0.12 MPa, and at run-out, delivery of exhaust gases through receiver into intake manifold of internal combustion engine are provided. Device has three operating mechanisms 8, 9 and 35, pressure 32, change-over switch 38 and receiver 29 communicating with internal combustion engine 4 and, through nonreturn valve 30, with compressed air source 31, through pressure regulator 33 with exhaust gas outlet system 28, through bypass shutter 34 with internal combustion engine 4 and through intake nonreturn valve 37 with air cleaner 5. At cold running-in of engine 4, compressed air source 31 is cut into operation at additional steps and by means of change-over switch 38, third operating mechanism 35 is set into action. Compressed air from compressed air source 31, with nonreturn valve 30 opened, and air from exhaust manifold of engine 4 pass into receiver 29 and further on to exhaust of internal combustion engine 4 closing intake nonreturn valve 37. At hot running-in of internal combustion engine 4 at no load, compressed air source 31 is cut out as well as third operating mechanism 35, by closing bypass shutter 34. At hot running-in of internal combustion engine 4 at dynamic loading, operating mechanisms 8, 9 and 35 are cut into action by change-over switch 38. At acceleration strokes with bypass shutter 34 closed, exhaust gases pass into receiver 29, and at run-out strokes, with bypass shutter 34 open, exhaust gases pass from receiver 29 into intake manifold of internal combustion engine 4.
