PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for USB manufactured without being subjected to bending process for bending a extended part of a shielding central piece. SOLUTION: This connector for USB comprises a connector main body 1 formed in almost a U-shape in a front view by a middle piece 11 and both opposed pieces 12 and 12 extending from the both ends of the middle piece 11 to be arranged oppositely to each other, contacts 2 aligned parallel to each other at a U-shaped inner part 1a of the connector main body 1 and a shield element 3 formed in almost a U-shape in a plane figure by a shield middle piece 31 and both shield opposed pieces 32 and 32, extending from the both ends of the shield middle piece 31 to be arranged oppositely to each other for shielding the U-shaped inner part 1a of the connector main body 1, wherein the contacts 2 for a USB plug to be connected to and removed from and the shield element 3 is attachably and detachably fixed at the end 1b of the connector main body 1.
