PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector connecting/disconnecting device capable of surely connecting and disconnecting optical connectors and enabling optical connectors or adapters to be replaced easily in a short time. SOLUTION: In this optical connector connecting/disconnecting device, a staged cylinder is provided with an optical connector holder 6 and an optical connector 1 is attached to the optical connector holder 6. The staged cylinder is moved forward or backward to connect or disconnect the optical connector 1. The staged cylinder includes a vertical stage 7 and a horizontal stage 8 which freely make parallel movement in the direction in which the staged cylinder 5 is moved forward or backward.
