PURPOSE: A water-cooling and air-cooling combination type outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to improve cooling efficiency by mounting net type moisture providing element having high absorptance between upper and lower water tanks for providing water evenly to the whole condenser by using capillary and the gravity. CONSTITUTION: A combination type outdoor unit of an air conditioner including a compressor(51) for converting gas refrigerant of low temperature and low pressure to gas refrigerant of high temperature and high pressure, a condenser(52) for phase-converting the gas refrigerant to liquid refrigerant, an expansion element(53) for converting the liquid refrigerant of high temperature and high pressure to two-phase refrigerant of low temperature and low pressure, and a fan(58) for generating air flow for cooling the condenser, includes water tanks respectively mounted at upper and lower parts of the condenser for storing water, water level sensors mounted in the water tanks for sensing an amount of water, and a moisture providing element(56) mounted between the water tanks for providing humidity by using capillary phenomenon and the gravity.
