<p>The invention relates to the use of proteins that are modified by xanthurenic acid in order to induce an immune response. An immune response to said compounds is designed to prevent diseases that are triggered by an accumulation of badly folded proteins including diseases that are associated with ageing such as Alzheimer's disease, prion diseases, senile cataracts, atherosclerosis, rheumatism and degeneration of the retina with ageing.</p> |
