Condensate drain for roof mounted HVAC units

Condensate from a roof mounted heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit(hvac) flows into an open top pan at one end(12) and is discharged to drain at the other end(14). One or two masses of copper removing agents(32,34) are disposed in said pan with baffle means(28,30) to route said condensate through said agents. The agents may be one mass of activated charcoal and the other mass of mossy zinc. Preferred Features: - The agents may be contained in screen envelopes to promote condensate flow through said agents. The pan may be made of stainless steel that can absorb copper ions.
