PURPOSE: A method is provided to achieve an aesthetic enhancement with reduced time and cost while allowing mass patterning onto a large volume of silver plates. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of etching characters or patterns onto a metallic plate such as a stainless steel plate and a nickel plate which has a strength higher than that of a silver plate, processing an opposite convex/concave onto the metallic plate, putting thus-processed metallic plate onto a silver plate and pressing by a roller(11). Thus, a desired pattern or character can be expressed onto the silver plate. With the method, a large volume of silver plates can be processed.
