PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a health condition judging device for judging the health condition of a person to be measured and controlling the operating state of an electronic appliance used by this person to be measured based on the judging result. SOLUTION: A measuring instrument 17 measures biological information showing the health condition of the person to be measured. This measuring result is successively stored in the DSMS 12a of a storing device 12 and the health condition of the person to be measured is judged based on the measuring result by the instrument 17 and the measuring result stored in the DBMS 12a. When the health condition is not judged to be satisfactory, the operating state of a home television set 20 is controlled so that, for instance, the operation of the set 20 is instantly stopped or the operation of the set 20 is stopped after the lapse of a prescribed time.
