PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finishing machine reducing a degree of moving freedom required for a turret, having a simple structure, and being capable of selecting tools and adjusting the position of the tools. SOLUTION: In a finishing machine 10 having a main shaft 12 rotatably supporting work and a turret 27 which opposes to the main shaft 12 and can be mounted with a plurality of tools, the turret 27 is allowed to be rotated about a parallel shaft off-set from a rotation axis of the main shaft 12, and a plurality of tools are disposed around the turret rotation axis. In the above mentioned finishing machine 10, when designating any point of the work on a vertical surface to the main shaft rotation axis, the main shaft 12 is positioned in such a way that the point on the work is located on an intersection point of a circle passing on the designated point and taking the main shaft rotation axis as a center and a circle drawn by a tool 50 used for rotating the turret 27, and the turret 27 is positioned so as to position the used tool 50 at the intersection point.
