PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of large positional shifting in both friction disks of a twin clutch. SOLUTION: A twin clutch is provided with a first/second clutch disk assembly having first/second friction disks, a clutch cover, a middle plate, a pressure plate and a pressing mechanism. The first friction disk, the middle plate, the second friction disk and the pressure plate are disposed in the order from a flywheel side between the flywheel and the clutch cover. In this twin clutch, during transfer from torque cutoff to torque transmission, first, a state is set where torque is partially transmitted via the first friction disk, and then a state is set where entire torque is transmitted via the first and second friction disks.
