PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ferritic stainless steel sheet having good ridging resistance and high quality of crown shape by executing the rolling reducing ratio of at least one pass in a rougher-rolling process at a specified value or higher, measuring or predicting the crown of a sheet bar at the completion of rolling and executing the setting calculation of the crown shape in a finish-rolling process based on the result. SOLUTION: In at least one pass in the rougher-rolling process, the rolling reduction ratio is made to >=40%. After rougher-rolling, the finish-rolling is executed with a hot-finish rolling mill. Therein, a roll-crossing system is adopted as an actuator for controlling the crown shape. For obtaining the sheet crown of the sheet bar after rougher-rolling, a hot thickness meter utilizing aγ-ray can be used or the predicted calculation from the calculation of the roll deformation caused by the compressive load at the rougher-rolling time, the roll crown amount increased in proportion with the rougher-rolled amount, the thermal expanding amount of the roll, etc., can be executed. This value is used for the setting calculation in each stand and thereby, the cross angle of each stand is controlled and the good crown can be obtd.
