PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment vehicle capable of heating and volume-reducing treatment for collected garbage during running and contribution to saving combustion energy required for incinerating treatment. SOLUTION: A garbage treatment vehicle 10 has a garbage treatment device 20 mounted thereon for at least heating and volume-reducing treatment. A treatment chamber 13 in which the garbage treatment device 20 contains an engine cooling heat exchanger 35 in which engine cooling water is circulated for cooling an engine E. Air blowing into the treatment chamber 13 is heated in the engine cooling water heat exchanger 35 for heating and volume-reducing treatment. In this way, exhaust heat or extra heat from a vehicle is utilized as a heating source in the heating and volume-reducing treatment for garbage.
