PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in an arithmetic processing by changing arithme tic contents corresponding to input images. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an evaluation means 42 for evaluating the range of pixel values constituting the input images and generating evaluation signals, plural arithmetic means 41a, 41b and 41c provided with the respectively different arithmetic contents for performing an image computation processing to the input images according to the arithmetic contents and generating output images and a computation selection means 43 for selecting one of the plural arithmetic means 41a, 41b and 41c based on the evaluation signals from the evaluation means 42 and making the selected arithmetic means perform the image computation processing of the input image.
