PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte type carbon dioxide sensor element not causing a change in electromotive power even if it is left in a high moisture atmosphere such as high humidity and condensation without being heated for a long time and reducing a time from when being actuated to when the electromotive power is stabilized. SOLUTION: In this solid electrolyte type carbon dioxide sensor element, a working electrode layer and a reference electrode layer are formed on the surface of a solid electrolyte layer which contains LiLaSiO4, especially (a) LiLaSiO4 and (b) lithium silicate, or they are formed on the surface of a solid electrolyte layer which includes (a) LiLaSiO4 and (b) zirconia and/or zirconium silicate. |
