PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability of an image processor further. SOLUTION: When a desired color sample is specified from a color selection screen through input means (27 and 31), the periphery of the specified color sample is enlarged and displayed in details and the desired color sample is selected from the displayed color samples. Thus, the color sample corresponding to the request of a user is provided without enlarging the entire display area of the color selection screen.
