PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacturing process of a resin-liquid crystal formed body and a liquid crystal display device using it, to reduce the cost of manufacturing, and to make them light in weight and thin in thickness. SOLUTION: A substrate side resin film 27, supporting members 22 and a film like counter resin film 23 supported by the supporting members 22 are arranged on a glass substrate 21 and besides, a liquid crystal layer 24 comprising a liquid crystal enclosed between the substrate side resin film 27 and the counter resin film 23 is formed. The supporting members 22, the counter resin film 23 and the substrate side resin film 27 (the second resin film) are integrally formed by polymerizing and hardening a photosensitive perpolymer with ultraviolet rays irradiation. In more detail, the counter resin film 23 comprises a protection resin film 23a formed with the ultraviolet rays irradiation and the first resin film 23b formed with the ultraviolet rays irradiation after formation of the protection resin film 23a via the protection resin film 23a. When the ultraviolet rays are irradiated to form the first resin film 23b and the substrate side resin film 27, the first resin film 23b and the substrate side resin film 27 are made to have orientational properties by using ultraviolet rays polarized in the respective specified directions.
