PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil collector for collecting a copper coil from the inside of a rotor in a discarded motor gathered from disused electrical household appliances. SOLUTION: A shaft 2 of a rotor 1 is held by a holding mechanism 5 and supported pivotally around a shaft 2. A rotary cutter 7 has a saw blade and a rotary shaft at right angles with an axis of the rotor 1. The cutter 7 moves in parallel in the axial direction of the rotor 1 and moved vertically reciprocally in a plane vertical to the rotating axis thereof. When a coil 3 is collected from the rotor 1, the cutter 7 is moved in parallel in the axial direction of the rotor 1 at first and moved from an edge-face side of the rotor 1 and put nearer to the rotor 1. While the cutter 7 is rotated, the cutter 7 is moved vertically in a vertical plane to the rotating shaft of the cutter 7 so as to make a coil 3 cut. The movement is repeated each time the rotor 1 rotates forward by a given angle.
